Artist statement

My works arise from intimate experiences that I transform into sculptures and installations as a form of reflection and exploration. I explore the relationship between identity, memory, and otherness, starting from what remains after a dialogue, a relationship, or a separation. I choose each material based on what I wish to retain or let go. I create my works to act as true emotional vessels, balancing between what is revealed and what remains hidden, between the need to speak and the need to preserve.

D'ISTINTO

D'ISTINTO

White Carrara marble · 2026 · 20 × 9 × 29 cm

The work arises from a gesture guided by instinct, without a predetermined form imposed on the marble. Sculpture thus becomes an act of listening and trust, in which the gesture freely follows what the material suggests. The rigidity of the marble confronts the freedom of the gesture: its imperfections, veining, and resistance become part of the process and contribute to the birth of the form. Sculpting therefore means letting oneself be guided by intuition, suspending the initial intention and allowing the form to emerge through the dialogue between gesture and material.

Bodies, though different, are not in conflict: they physically support each other, creating a mutual balance. Fragmentation here is not a violent rupture, but a condition of existence. The work speaks to the multiplicity that inhabits us. We are not a compact unit, but a set of levels that coexist and intertwine. The container protects the contents, the mask mediates between inside and outside, enabling relationships with others. Sometimes these parts come into tension, other times they find harmony, but none can truly exist in isolation. The relationship between the bodies suggests that balance arises precisely from their silent dialogue and mutual support. If tension was central in previous works, here a different possibility emerges: fragmentation not as loss or fracture, but as a complex form of coexistence, in which who we are is constructed in the continuous encounter between what we preserve, what we are, and what we show.

SOLE e LUNA

SOLE e LUNA

White Carrara marble, honey onyx, walnut wood · 2026 · 34 × 24 × 44 cm

This conceptual sculpture, inspired by the Canticle of the Creatures by Saint Francis of Assisi, is composed of a leaf in ordinary white Carrara marble and a honey onyx element that recalls the sun's rays. I chose the leaf as a symbol of the connection between the natural elements celebrated in the Canticle: the sun, water, and earth, on which its growth depends. Its shape can also evoke that of the moon, described as "sister," while the tips recall "brother sun." The work thus intends to represent the harmony and interdependence present in the natural world. Created specifically for display at the Parish Museum of Gromo, the work is dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi on the occasion of the celebrations for the five-hundredth anniversary of his death.

Colored epoxy resin · 2025 · Variabili

The work was born from observing the reflections that form when light passes through water, creating plays of transparency and shifting colors. This visual effect became the focal point of my work, which I developed through an installation composed of five transparent and colored resin elements. The shapes are designed to be placed within a white, illuminated space, where they can evoke the luminous vibrations typical of reflections on water.
