Artist statement

My visual research stems from the need to give shape to inner emotional states through the lens of fable, personal mythology, and the natural world. Working across painting and ceramic sculpture, I build narratives populated by living creatures—bears, wolves, koi fish, botanical presences, and suspended figures—that act as mirrors and guardians of the human soul. Themes such as motherhood, vulnerability, the search for shelter, loneliness, and the feeling of displacement in the contemporary world are translated into imagery where delicate palettes and soft contours coexist with deeper, quieter reflections. The use of luminous pastel tones, vibrant accents, and tactile surfaces creates a sheltered space designed to welcome the viewer, offering both visual and emotional solace. Whether through oil and acrylic on canvas or shaped and fired clay, my work is an invitation to rediscover an ancestral, gentle connection with nature—finding within fragility a genuine form of courage and grace.

Big fat tears

Big fat tears

oil on canvas · 2026 · 100x150 cm

When everything we believed to be immutable disappears forever, what is left of us? Existence is a ceaseless flux, an energy that shifts like volcanoes, smoke, and comets invading the sky. Yet our mind, resembling these salt pyramids, believes that everything will stay just as it is forever. Instead, much like this wolf, we find ourselves alone in the deep blue, surrounded by a few stray objects, like a keepsake longing to stay. And nothing remains but to shed heavy tears, so that we may truly go on living.

An angry Tiger in the Jungle

An angry Tiger in the Jungle

watercolor on paper · 2026 · 76x56 cm

In a vibrant labyrinth of giant leaves, dreamy palms, and heavenly hues, the jungle reveals itself as a magical realm pulsing with life. Under the watchful gaze of curious little toucans, nature shelters a tender and unexpected encounter: at the heart of a rosy clearing, two mysterious blue panthers share a silent bond, while in the foreground a magnificent tiger—proud guardian of her wild world—seems to invite the beholder to honor and protect the sacredness of this untouched paradise.
