I Am What Matters Most: Scars and Tears Shaped by Money marks a pivotal turning point in consciousness—a visual documentation of reclaiming self-worth from the depths of personal rupture. Created through an iterative tripartite process—release, deconstruction, and reconstruction—the artwork was developed through countless cycles of layering, smearing, and reshaping varying forms and colors. Unspoken written phrases are repeatedly submerged under muted earth tones, slate blues, and tarnished metallic hues that embody transactional friction. Through continuous physical dissolution using water and hand-smoothing, each layer is destroyed and remade, gradually building a dense, tactile depth. In its final state, the painting settles into luminous, soft golden circles and serene tones, reflecting a quiet return to one's center. Rather than seeking external validation, the work stands as an embodiment of self-realization: a physical space where turbulent layers yield to profound clarity, inner peace, and the quiet assertion of inherent value.
