Artist statement

My work stems from a desire to give form to what words often fail to convey: emotions, memories, fragility, and inner transformations. Through mixed media, layered materials, instinctive gestures, light, color, and gold leaf details, I explore the connection between what we experience and what we allow to emerge. Each work is a journey of exploration and transformation, in which material becomes the medium to make something deeply personal visible. I create because I feel the need to give voice to emotions, preserve stories, and transform even the most difficult experiences into something new. I would like my works to be not merely observed, but felt, capable of creating a connection with those who encounter them and of preserving a meaning over time that goes beyond their beauty.

Tempo interrotto

Tempo interrotto

Mixed media on canvas · 2025 · 80 x 60 cm

"Interrupted Time" is born from a reflection on the moments when life surprises us, interrupts our journey, and forces us to pause. It's the image of someone who finds themselves on the ground after a fall, but chooses to look up, seeking a new possibility. Like rain that falls and returns to the sky, the work recalls the constant movement of life, in which every fall can become an opportunity for transformation. Fragility and rebirth intertwine in a journey of change, acceptance, and new beginnings. "Interrupted Time" is an invitation not to confuse a pause with an end, to find the strength to look beyond and continue on your journey, even when the road changes direction.

Al di là del tempo

Al di là del tempo

Mixed media and gold leaf on canvas · 2025 · 100 x 60 cm

"Beyond Time" stems from a reflection on what remains of us and our bonds when time passes and life changes. There are experiences that bring confusion, emptiness, and bewilderment, moments when everything seems to lose its order. The irregularity of the composition and the emptiness that envelops it speak to this condition, while the center becomes the point where what truly matters resurfaces: love, capable of transcending time, transforming, and continuing to exist beyond any absence. The work is a reflection on the deepest bonds, those that do not fade with the passing of the years and continue to live within us, beyond time.

Ricordati di te

Ricordati di te

Mixed media on canvas and mirror · 2025 · 35 x 50 cm

"Ricordati di te" (Remember Yourself) stems from a reflection on how easy it is, over the course of life, to lose sight of oneself, absorbed by responsibilities, expectations, and change. The brushstrokes, contrasting materials, and gold inserts shape a journey of signs, experiences, and transformations. Gold evokes the value each person holds within themselves, even through their own frailties. The mirror, a central element of the work, directly engages the viewer, transforming them into part of the work. It is no longer simply an image to gaze upon, but an opportunity to pause, recognize, and reconnect with oneself. An invitation to never forget who we are and to recognize the value of our history.

Biography

1989 Verona / lives and works in Verona

My passion for art began in my family, thanks to my grandfather, who always painted and, unknowingly, instilled in me a love for this medium. Growing up, I chose to cultivate this passion through studies at the Umberto Boccioni State Art School and later with a degree in Restoration of Cultural Heritage, which allowed me to deepen my knowledge of materials, artistic techniques, and the conservation of artworks.

For several years, however, painting remained on the back burner. Life led me in other directions and toward a career far removed from the world of art. Personal experiences and the need to find a space that belonged to me gradually brought me back to painting. It wasn't simply a matter of starting to paint again, but of rediscovering a way of expressing myself and giving voice to what was inside me.

Today, I continue a personal journey in which emotions and experiences become matter, light, and color. Through mixed techniques, layering of materials, textures, instinctive gestures, and gold leaf details, I seek a balance between spontaneity and exploration. I also enjoy experimenting with mirrors, which become an integral part of the works and take on a symbolic meaning: they reflect the viewer's image, inviting them to look at themselves, recognize themselves, and connect with what the work evokes.

My goal today is to develop my artistic identity, engage with new exhibition and professional contexts, and bring my works into contexts where they can be recognized and experienced. I seek authentic connections with those who observe my work, so that each piece can also become a space in which they can recognize themselves, be moved, and rediscover something of their own history.
